Low Cost Holiday Options
The summer holidays are looming and here are a few suggestions for low cost options for Families and Kids.
Look Out For the 2 for 1 options
There are lots of attractions competing with each other and although a 2 for 1 deal might be a lossmaker for the attraction at the time, they view it as an investment to get the family back again and again.
Are you a Sky customer and using Sky Rewards?
There are activities on site that will keep the kids amused for hours. The Sky Rewards programme is geared mostly at a GB audience but there are opportunities in Northern Ireland. I’ve got tickets for Northern Ireland games and major GAA games.
Cheap Cinema Tickets
Matinees during the week can come in at £2.50 or less. The kids are getting the same experience and the timing of the movie could be used as a centre point for a day out.
Kids Eat ‘free’
There are lots of restaurants happy to give this as an offer in the hope that you will splurge the cash on a good meal for the adults.
Kids eat for free at ASDA.
Dominos do 2for1 pizzas on Tuesdays
Pizza Hut have a E9 unlimited lunch buffet
Use The Great Outdoors
A day out to the park or a walking trail can be very low cost and tied in with some sort of a treasure hunt or similar, it can be a fun day out.
Free In Store Activities
Stores like Lego, Disney etc. are a complete experience with lots of activities for everyone.
Pet Workshops
Sometimes pet stores like Pets at Home will offer workshops for children which can be very interesting and amusing for children.
Free Museums
There are museums and galleries that offer free or low cost packages for families and it is worth investigating this.
Theme Parks
Theme Parks are invariably a large investment but for most options, there are usually ways of accessing discounted offers such as 2 for 1. It will be worth it to research these options.
Lego Life Magazine
This is a free pack of Lego news, games, puzzles, comics, posters and sneak peeks of upcoming new Lego sets.
10 Books for £10 at The Works
This can be a Relatively Low Cost option at finding some exciting new books.
Check out the local library
Most local libraries offer a full programme of workshops and events, especially over the summer time.
Use the Garden to its full potential
This could be:
· Creating a den or tent in a corner of the garden
· Creating a treasure hunt
· Creating a crazy golf circuit
· Camping out in the garden
· Taking up some gardening
