EMERGENCY CARE PUBLIC HOSPITALS/EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT (ED) - An Emergency Department of a hospital provides urgent care for serious injuries or life threatening emergencies. To access the ED at Letterkenny University Hospital or Sligo University Hospital you can call for an ambulance or make your own way there.

EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE - There are two emergency numbers in Ireland 112 and 999. These numbers are used to call an ambulance when someone is seriously ill, injured, at risk of dying.

Typically a GP surgery, Primary Care Centre or Health Centre is open Monday – Friday between 9am-5pm and is closed 1pm-2pm. Most work by appointment only.
