Upgrades
Its great to have the latest model of phone etc. but frequently we are paying through the nose for something that has questionable merit. Here are a few initial things to think about:
• Look at what you are getting for your upgrade – is it worth it?
• Is a 3 year warranty for a product that will not break in 3 years worthwhile
• You can safely buy non organic foods that has a large thick skin
• Consider mixing ‘basic’ labels with ‘designer’ labels – a rare fashion tip
• Don’t pay for express shipping – its worth waiting the extra day
• Is it worthwhile paying EEE’s for flash furniture that you will get fed up with in 3 years
Here’s a few more:
• Food Delivery charges can mount up
• Are robot vacuums effective and worth their price
• Why pay for superfast internet when we don’t need the speed
• Before taking gym or other memberships, will you get your money’s worth?
• Buy natural grown jewellery – otherwise the jewellery depreciates like a stone
• Is it worth paying 300%+ extra for not flying Economy
And a few final things to put to yourself:
• Are you paying for expensive TV channels/packages that you don’t use?
• Do you need to spend £1000 to buy the latest smartphone (that has just got some small
• Do you need to pay for a mobile data package that uses many GB more than you use
• Gourmet Coffee = Ordinary Coffee
Not every upgrade is a true upgrade and its worth reflecting on that.
